About the Pinder Legal Team

I would like to give you three important reasons to consider putting my team to work for you.

PRACTICAL
This office understands that your life is busy. The last thing you need is the hassle of a lawyer who insists that his time is more important than yours; and wants to see you at their downtown or Towson office where you have to pay to park and you have to take time off work to see them in their glitzy office. I live in Parkville, and most days I can see you as early as 8:00 am and most nights as late as 7:30 pm. The office is located at 7602 Harford Rd. three miles south of Beltway Exit 31A on Harford Road, and 2 blocks south of the intersection of Harford Road and Taylor Avenue (directly across from the Parkville Shopping Center). I can see you on your time. I can even come to your house or hospital.

This office also understands that your legal problem or concern is scary, and the last thing you need is to be overcharged for confusing advice. I will never charge a fee for the first 1/2 hour of any consultation. In most cases, at the end of that time,

I should have a fairly good idea of how we will proceed and get your concerns addressed. expenses unless we win the case. If it is a personal injury or work related accident, and I agree to take your case, you do not pay me either a fee or expenses. If the case is going to be handled on an hourly or flat fee basis, such as for wills, contracts, general litigation, criminal or other matters, my advice will be based on the approach that is the most cost effective and practical solution to your problem. I will give you good common sense advice in an informal setting. And, if I can't solve your problem-- I will get you to someone who can!
PROFESSIONAL
A strength of the Pinder Legal Team is its staff of unsung heroes. You will truly appreciate our highly trained staff that is dedicated to helping you through the day to day concerns, questions, and details of your case. Both my paralegal and office manager have just celebrated 4 years with this office. A law clerk helps me with some of the more novel legal issues we tackle; and file clerks help organize your case. Some lawyers that are "out on their own" literally try to do everything themselves, or have family members help out. I love it when I get teased by these lawyers as to "where is the team today" when I am out of the office. They just don’t understand that my staff is the team--they are the heart and soul doing the hard work so I can use my legal training--not my secretarial skills, on your case.

This office also has a professional advantage in its state of the art computer system. Most law offices still rely on the "Note and Hunt" method of practice. A phone message is scribbled on a piece of paper and the note is shoved on the lawyer’s desk, only to be lost. Or, when you do get through to the lawyer, she tells you that "I have to get the file" to answer the question. This office uses a powerful combination of a case management system called Time Matters ™ and a high speed scanner. Every phone call, document, letter, or contact with a client or adjuster is recorded in your computer file when it happens. Until I have to go to court or a hearing, I won’t even need to actually touch your file--the information is at our fingertips. So, you get the personal attention of our small office combined with the technology and manpower of a large firm.

PROVEN

I graduated from law school in 1986, and have 22 years experience as a trial lawyer. I believe that a lawyer needs to be constantly tested and "out on the front lines" to best represent his client. In the past five years, this office has filed over 125 personal injury suits each year. I have tried to a final verdict an average of 40-50 of those each year. I have filed thousands of workers compensation cases and average about 35-40 hearings each year. So, when you ask me--Ed--what do you think will happen and what should we do? I can tell you that in front of this commissioner or this judge in this jurisdiction, I have had this experience. I feel that my experience is an essential reason you would want to hire this office. How can a lawyer give you advice as to the value of your personal injury, automobile accident, or workers compensation case, if they are not trying cases? If your lawyer just "dabbles" and hasn’t actually tried an automobile accident case in years, how does he even know what a "good" offer is? How do you know that he isn't just trying to get the case over with quickly? The insurance companies are ready, willing, and eager to fight your case in court---will you be ready with a lawyer who has been there day after day? I am proven, and you can rest assured that if you decide to fight in Court, you will have a skilled advocate by your side as you "go into battle".

Lawsuit outcomes may vary.  All verdicts and settlements are based on the individual facts of each case.
